thinking of stuff to do in future times

Going in to an extended stay in hospital has thrown a 'spanner in the works' of my life plan. They were to complete a university unit (part time by correspondence) and go to Japan with the family. I definitely did want these things and was going OK - I think, at the university stuff and letting DP deal with the Japan holiday stuff.  I was to learn some basic Japanese over the internet, all the same time there was our DS that needed my attention all the time.

Then I got really sick and was in an acute psychiatric unit for a week and then in a private hospital for a few weeks after that. My DP was ticked off, to say the least, about having to cancel his holiday. I am saddened that I miss out but I really didn't mean to get sick and have to go to hospital. I also know that if my DP and DS who is still a baby really went alone with no Japanese language skills then something terrible would have happened and the may not have even returned. I was really upset by this and would much prefer that DP go alone and let my parents look after our DS. DP was not impressed by this and cancelled whole holiday.

Speaking of cancelling things i have had to cancel yet another round in the ring with uni making me seem like an academic wussy. This has made me evaluate, yet again, the importance of a university degree in my entire life plan.

Life Plan Items : (in no order)
  • Raise a happy, healthy child
  • Maintain a tidy house
  • Get a 'summer' job
  • Finish university
  • Go to art school
  • maintain a long term healthy adult romantic relationship
  • do yarn craft to a medium to high standard
  • keep up to date with scrapbooks and photo books
  • get and keep a job for more than a year
  • learn a language
  • become a better dancer
  • lose 20 kilos or 4 dress sizes
So those are my ambitions
